    Lake Martin Area Summary

Habitat for Humanity of Lake Martin Area (HFHLMA) was established in August 1994, previously known as Habitat for Humanity of Alexander City Area. Since its inception, HFHLMA has successfully constructed 19 homes and undertaken numerous rehabilitation projects for existing homeowners. Additionally, we have broadened our service area to encompass a 25-mile radius around Alexander City, AL.

Like all HFHI affiliates, our mission is to eradicate substandard housing for individuals with limited means and to promote healthy living conditions for our partner families. Our refreshed vision aims to enhance both the quantity and variety of new homes we build for underserved individuals and families. We also aspire to increase the number of rehabilitations we offer to elderly and low-income homeowners who require assistance with essentials repairs and improved energy efficiency
